FEATURES

ENGINE

Proven Kodiak ATV based, slant block, 421cc, liquid-cooled, SOHC, 2-valve, 4-stroke single. The Rhino 450 offers the best power to weight ratio in its class delivering lots of low end torque and a top speed of over 55 km /hr.

Compact engine design features a 45° cylinder angle.

ULTRAMATIC TRANSMISSION

Fully automatic Ultramatic" transmission is the most advanced drive system in the ORV world. Not only is it simple to use . . . select a forward gear, step on the gas pedal and go, but it also provides full engine braking to reduce brake wear. The Ultramatic system uses a special clutch design, which reduces belt wear since the belt is under constant tension. This system provides superior no-slip performance and significantly reduces belt wear.

ON-COMMAND 4WD

Push-button servo-controlled ""On-Command"" system allows you to switch between 2WD, limited-slip 4WD and fully locked differential 4WD - all with the simple push of a dash mounted button. Real 4-wheel drive when you need it. With Diff-lock engaged, there's no need to wait for one wheel to spin. You have traction to all 4 wheels, immediately.

DUAL RANGE

Dual range transmission features high range, low range, neutral and reverse. This transmission design is lighter and more compact thanks to its three-axle configuration which also reduces horsepower losses as well. Low range offers aprox. 1.5 times the pulling power of high range.

RACK AND PINION STREERING

Light, responsive rack and pinion steering features a fully sealed steering column and double u-jointed steering linkage for smooth action.

HEAVY DUTY BREAKS

A single automotive-style brake pedal activates the dual 200mm front disc brakes and 165mm single drive shaft mounted rear disc brake. This triple hydraulic disc brake system provides outstanding stopping performance in a variety of conditions. All three discs are tucked out of the way to prevent damage from rocks or stumps. A mechanical console mounted parking brake features a dash mounted warning light to avoid operating the unit with the parking brake engaged.

EFFICIENT COOLING

Large-capacity aluminum radiator with fan-assist delivers maximum cooling efficiency and is positioned high in the frame for optimal protection.

SEALED V-BELT CASE

Sealed drive case (belt case) keeps out water and debris to minimize belt slippage. Intake and outlets for belt cooling air are high mounted to prevent water and mud from entering drive case. Special V-belt compartment drain plug requires no tools in the event that water enters the belt case.

STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST

Specially designed full stainless steel exhaust system features a forked header pipe for maximum power output and a screen type spark arrestor in the muffler to protect ""Mother Nature""

HEAVY DUTY TIRES

Heavy-duty AT25 x 8-12 front and AT25 x 10-12 rear tires provide excellent off road traction and further boost ground clearance. Note: although these tires look like ATV tires they have a much higher load rating than a standard ATV tire.

CARGO BOX THAT TILTS

Revised cargo bed can pack a total of 181kgs (400lbs) of payload. The dumping function is aided by spring loading to make tipping the dump box easier. The outside panels of the box are plastic to resist dents and rust. The inner box rear has been redesigned using fewer parts for a cleaner look. There are 4 tie points inside the cargo bed to insure load security.

Heavy duty rubber cargo bed mat helps to protect the cargo bed from scratches and dents.
Convenient, quick remove tailgate is supported by detachable ""lanyards"" just like a pick-up truck. The gate travel is limited by the lanyards.

2-INCH RECEIVER

Center mounted automotive style trailer hitch receiver is located at the rear of the frame. Towing capacity is 550kgs or 1212 lbs.

BUCKET SEATS

Large, specially designed bucket seats are extra plush and supportive for all-day driver and passenger comfort. Each seat has a small drain hole to allow water drainage in the event the unit is stored outside. Both seats can be quickly removed.

PROTECTION

Full length heavy duty three piece skid plate and a heavy-duty front bumper protects the frame and lower components of the Rhino from rocks, logs and stumps. Rugged, large size plastic front and rear fenders with inner guards offer excellent mud/splash protection.

LCD GAUGES

High tech, console mounted digital meter assembly includes speedometer, odometer, dual trip meters, hour meter and clock as well as indicator lights for 4x4 functions, differential lock, neutral, reverse, and park brake.
